Lead Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
I started my journey with Brookside Dental Care in April of 2021, right after graduating from Lehigh Dental Assisting School. I began as a dental assistant and, through hard work and support from this amazing team, worked my way up to become an EFDA. I officially earned my EFDA licence from YTI in the spring of 2024, and I couldn’t be more proud of how far I’ve come.
What I love most about my role is helping people achieve the smile they’ve always dreamed of—it’s incredibly fulfilling to know I play a part in changing lives through dentistry. Every day brings a new opportunity to connect, create, and contribute to something meaningful.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, taking my dog on hikes, and exploring all things “spooky” in my free time. I also have a green thumb and a passion for DIY projects—whether I’m growing lush gardens or crafting one-of-a-kind home décor, I love getting creative.
My favorite thing about working at Brookside is the collaborative, supportive environment. I’m surrounded by a team that genuinely cheers each other on and a workplace that encourages both personal and professional growth. It’s a unique and special place to be.

This was my 1st visit to this very pleasant, warm and professional Dental facility. All the staff were pleasant and welcoming. They made me feel special as I walked in the Practice.
Selma my hygienist was very pleasant and made me feel very comfortable as she pleasantly and professionally introduced herself.
She thoroughly explained every procedure before she began and also ensured my comfort throughout. She also educated me on my personal continued dental care.
Dr. Burke was also very pleasant and professional. He carefully explained his examination and evaluation as he gave an honest report. This gave me much comfort knowing that I was well cared for and my dental health was important.
Procedures, techniques and equipment used etc were the best I've experienced. I felt comfortable and confident in the caring and professional care I received.
As a medical personnel myself, I was very impressed and satisfied with my care.
I highly recommend Brookside Dental.

Whether it’s over the phone or in person, everyone is always smiling and happy to help with any concerns we may have. The atmosphere in the office is so welcoming and warm. I've written a review for Brookside Dental before, but I'm happy to provide an update. All of the staff, from the moment you walk into the building, are always so kind and welcoming. Every single visit! This last visit, I had cavities treated by Dr. Malia. It was my first time having a visit with her. She was absolutely amazing! Dr. Malia made sure I was comfortable and understanding of the process before she began. Even throughout the filling, she kept making sure I was ok and asked if I needed more numbing, etc. I couldn't have asked for a better team to help take care of my teeth! I would highly recommend seeing the outstanding staff and doctors at Brookside Dental!

I am new to the area and just had my initial visit at Brookside Dental. The office is very clean with up to date technology. The office staff were very friendly & welcoming.
My hygienist Brandy was on time, pleasant & very gentle but thorough with my cleaning.
Great 1st experience!
