Before beginning your dental veneer treatment, we’ll bring you into our Allentown dental office for a brief consultation. During this consultation, our doctor will discuss your treatment options with you to determine if dental veneers are right for you. We may also recommend a treatment plan before the veneer procedure to ensure that your veneers have a clean and healthy foundation.

Preparing the Teeth

To prepare the tooth for the veneer, we start by removing a thin layer of enamel. This created a surface onto which the veneer can adhere. We numb the area with a local anesthetic before operating so you won’t feel a thing throughout the procedure. Next, we take an impression of the tooth to ensure the shape of your veneer matches the surrounding teeth.

Creating and Placing the Veneer

For your comfort, we’ll place a set of temporary veneers while your permanent veneers are being created. Once the permanent veneers are ready, we’ll remove your temporary veneers and bond the permanent veneers to the teeth. The doctor will then apply a few finishing touches to make sure the veneers fit well and blend perfectly with the surrounding teeth before applying a quick polish.
